The day we turned 16, we knew what car we wanted. Some of us got it, some of us didn't, and some of us are still waiting...
Mine was a 2008 Acura TL Type-S in Blue or a 2006/7 Mustang GT.
Yours?

1986 VW Golf GTi 16v, Helios Blau.. Did I get one? Hell yeah I did :)
I know the picture says limited series '88, but that' not true.. I owned an 86 in that colour.

I actually didn't give a shit about cars when I turned 16. I didn't even get my license until I was 22.

ha! Me too! I almost bought a Delorean in high school for my first car. I had found one, located a mechanic, and had found a place to get parts. Unfortunately, my father and I decided it probably wasn't a good idea to buy a Delorean on a Burger King salary...

Right here. This. 1968 Charger R/T. I wanted blue, but had to settle for a 1985 V6 Camaro.

This was mine. 1968 Mustang. Here is a picture of a picture on my office wall. I worked a summer to save up the $2000 to buy it. I had it a couple of months before I turned 16. That was 1990. I still own it. It's been in storage for the better part of 10 years, but it's time will come.

I had an obsession with pimp era American coupes. Either a Lincoln Mark (iii-v) or Eldorado was on the top of the list at any given time. I still have that obsession but still have not bought one.

It was a piece of shit. Paid 2k for it, had to rebuild 500 miles later because it threw a rod. Only then did I find out the previous owner had it rebuilt by his drunk uncle, who didn't inspect the bearings/journals, did it in a dirt driveway and caught it on fire multiple times. Also, even after the rebuild, I would routinely get destroyed by my schoolmates in their Tempos and Corsicas.
But it was my Bitchin' Camaro.

I ended up with my Dad's Wrangler (along with it's payment book). The most fun vehicle I've had and I miss it a lot! I'll have a Delorean some day, but I've got to build a garage first.

I'm in high school now and I want a Focus ST. I have a Saab wagon. Similar in some ways, the Aero makes the same amount of power. The guy I bought the Saab from replaced it with a Focus ST in black so I'm going to try and buy it off him in a few years.

Not quite sure if I'm honest, Helios was just a colour (Helios blau), they had that colour on the MkI Gti, and on the MkII Gti (but not on the '86 16v) according to VW.. So yeah... My car couldve been a special order, but I've seen other cars with the small bumpers and that colour.. so..

Mine was an Orange with Laser stripes 70 Torino with a 351C, shaker hood scoop, 4-speed transmission and 3.50 traction lock 9" rear end. It was sitting on the same car lot as the car I ended up getting. What I got instead was a 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 XL with a 390, auto transmission and a one legged 9" with 2.75 gears. Once I got to driving it I was happy though, because it ran great and would do a one legged burnout for as long as you held the pedal down. I sure wish I could find it now and buy it back.

I'm still in high school, albeit older than 16 and still without a driver's license, but my dream car is a manual CTS-V wagon. what I'm probably going to end up getting is a 80's or 90's ford ranger or chevy s10.
